Lime Hollow Nature Center

To date, the Cortland Community Foundation has awarded the Lime Hollow Nature Center grants totaling $38,550.

The Cortland Community Foundation granted $11,000.00 in 2013 to build an Outdoor Amphitheatre as part of the Environmental Education Center at Lime Hollow.

To assist with the cost of school field trips to the Center, the Cortland Community Foundation granted $10,000 to be used for the 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 school years.

A $20,000 grant was issued to the Lime Hollow Nature Center to assist in the construction of their Visitor’s Center on McLean Road.

In addition, an $8,550 grant was awarded to purchase supplies needed to construct a bog mat walkway that leads to the Chicago Bog. The bog mat walkway would make the trail leading to the Chicago Bog safer for visitors to the center.

“We feel so fortunate to have the Cortland Community Foundation among our supporters.” John Hoeschele, President of the Lime Hollow Board of Directors
