Apply for a Grant

The Cortland Community Foundation awards grants as investments in our community. All eligible nonprofit organizations located in Cortland County, large or small, established or newly created, are encouraged to share their projects with us. Unless there is an emergency, grant applications are considered on a quarterly basis. Grants of varying sizes are then awarded based upon community need and organizational capacity to impact those needs.

As a general rule, the Foundation funds capital project activities as well as equipment, materials, and supplies. Start-up charitable initiatives that incur one-time costs may also be considered. Visit our Projects Funded page for examples of organizations and projects that have been funded in past years.
