How to Give
The Cortland Community Foundation is a means for anyone to invest in our community’s future, through gifts of any amount. Gifts are accepted from individuals, families, organizations, agencies, corporations, trusts, estates and other foundations. Persons may give money or securities during their lifetime or may name the Cortland Community Foundation in their will or trust as a beneficiary of all, a portion or the remainder of their estate.
- An Unrestricted Gift allows your philanthropy to adapt throughout the years to address the
most pressing community-wide issues.
- A Donor Directed Gift allows you to support the good work of a specific non-profit organization. You may also designate your gift to be used to address specific areas of interest, community programs, or even geographic areas.
However you choose to give, you can be assured that the return on your investment will be a positive difference in the lives of people in the Cortland area – including your family, friends, and neighbors for generations to come.
If you’re not sure how you want to give, or what you want to support, Foundation staff and board members are available to meet with you to discuss your areas of interest, the Foundation’s vision, and options for giving. Please contact Jackie McCloskey, Executive Director, at 607-218-6500 or CCF@twcny.rr.com to make arrangements.
Remember: the Cortland Community Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization under the regulations of the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
